    They do sell a .22LR version. Just search 'mini sharps rifle' on Cabela's website and that is the first result. too bad they don't have a mini price on it, I just can't see spending that kind of money on a .22, the mini is almost the same price as the .45-70 version.

    I feel you pain on the .45lc. Last time I took my SAA out for some live fire, the sound coming from the revolver was more like the bell on cash register than a gun.
