Default 150th Brawner Farm Living History - Manassas National Battlefield Park. VA

    Hi Folks,

Feel like breaking out the wool in advance of the Maryland Campaign activities?? Well you may be in luck. My comrades in Co. C Federal Army will be portraying the 2nd Wisconsin of the Black Hat Brigade at Manassas National Battlefield this coming weekend (August 25-26, 2012). We will be part of a by invitation only living history program commemorating the 150th Anniversary of the fight at the Brawner Farm. The program will take place on the actual Brawner Farm. Since we will be on National Park Service property, all applicable NPS rules and regulations will apply at this event.

Here is a link to the schedule for the Manassas National Battlefield Park 2nd Battle of Manassas anniversary events, including our programs on Saturday and Sunday:

    Interested? Then read on...

The 2nd Wisconsin / Black Hats were wearing dress hats, dress coats, dark blue trousers and canvas leggings during this timeframe. So if you have most or some of this gear then you should be good to go. We will be going with a campaign style look for this one, so camping will be in shelter halves or under the stars (let's pray for good weather this time - we had a hurricane last year ).

So if you or your pards are interested in doing something next weekend, and you want to secure an invitation to fall in with us at the Brawner farm, then please send a private email to me at spannier@hotmail.com for more information.

    Thanks for your support.

If someone really needed a pair of Scott Wallick gaiters for this event I could mail them by two day mail.....they're 10 feet away from me right now....
