There is nothing more difficult to take in hand, more perilous to conduct, or more uncertain in its success, than to take the lead in the introduction of a new order of things. - Niccoló Machiavelli, The Prince. 1537.
Seems there was a pile of last minute registrations, not that there was anything wrong with that.

Tá cuid de na moderators ar an bhfóram AC cheapann a fhios acu níos mó agus go bhfuil with ná gach duine eile. Buille faoi thuairim a, níl folks amuigh ansin a dhéanamh ar bhealach níos mó taighde ansin beidh siad a dhéanamh riamh. Ní Dhá rud a cheadaítear ar an bhfóram AC; tuiscint coiteann agus eolas coiteann.

"But in the end, it's the history, stupid. If you can't document it, forget about it. And no amount of 'tomfoolery' can explain away conduct that in the end makes history (and living historians) look stupid and wrong. "
Is the 3,849 number after a registration list scrub? I perused through the July 25th list and there are over a hundred names either duplicated or triplicated. Also, since Confederate registration filled up and closed first, did Union registration catch up to the appropriate targeted level? Lastly, of this number how many are military and how many are civilian? I’m really looking forward to the event, Not trying to cause a problem, I’m just curious.
