    Default Ridley Creek

    Gentleman,

The information and registration packet for the Ridley Creek event, held on the Colonial Plantation, on the weekend of September 21-23, is now available:

    http://www.colonialplantation.org/CivilWar.htm

For those of you who haven't attended. The Colonial Plantation, is a beautiful site with no anachronisms. (Except for the modern restrooms, which nobody seems to mind!)

The spectator "battles" take place around the farm buildings and fields, much of it in skirmish order. Campaigners and Mainstreamers are both welcome. We'd like to get about 200 people per side, which would be perfect for the available land and the type of actions being portrayed.

Great site to live the moment! Need Federals, we were badly outnumbered last year. Great experience promised!

The construction barricades, that cut up the area last year, are now gone. We will again have the use of the entire area around the farm buildings and grounds. If you like skirmish drill and small unit manoeuvres, you'll love Ridley Creek.

Nick Sekela, the maker and vendor of some the finest reproductions in the Hobby, will be attending Ridley Creek this year. He will be making a presentation concerning the Federal soldier's uniforms, as they existed during the Civil War. This will be well worthwhile for anybody who wants to improve his federal impression.

As a reminder, walk-ons are welcome at the Ridley Creek event.
