Looing for progressive unit around Ft leonardwood

Hello,

I will be stationed at FT Leonardwood for a couple years and would like to do a confederate impression. Looking for a progressive or campaigner unit. Preferably a unit that portrays a AOT or ANV unit, and not home guard or militia.

As for confederates the 4th Mo Infantry is located in Boliver about 40min southwest of you, and for Union the 26th Missouri Infantry is in Springfield about 50min southwest of you. I am with the 26th and have a guy stationed at Ft. Wood. Both units are mainstream but are always striving for authentic impressions. I will link our websites.

If you are looking for a progressive Federal unit, the 24th Mo is guys througout the region with members in MO, ARK, OK and TX. We came together from other units for a common goal toward authenticity if you are truly looking for progressives. Lots of former and current military as members. Also in Missouri and KS is the Holmes Bde, one of our brother units more on the progressive side as well. We fell in with them at the 150th Pea Ridge event and some of them are falling in with us at Vicksburg/Raymond where we will go campaigner for that event. I myself am retired from Fort Sill and now a DA civilian.

I have to agree with Frank that the 24th Missouri is is one of the most authenticity minded progressive groups in the Midwest. Holmes brigade is also progressive and a great unit. If you decide to fo Federal, those would be the two I would look at.
