Ladies and Gentlemen,
I have placed online a collection of 148 images from the 149th anniversary program of the Battle of Gettysburg. This gallery even includes what could be termed the "1863 version of a wet t-shirt contest." It took place in the Living History camp, when a bunch of ladies in period bathing suits staged a monumental waterfight and doused each other --and even innocent photographers standing by-- with cool water. The chief purpose of the exercise, obviously, was to combat the oppressive heat of the day. Everyone seemed to have a good time.
You may find the photography of the event here: www.zphotos.smugmug.com, then simply click on the gallery called 12Gettysburg.
Comments are always welcome.
