Thanks for all the tips! I will definately give Ed Boyle's website a look. I think I'll get his cheaper plastic fife to learn on before I invest any serious money on an authentic reproduction.
After 13 years I'm about done with carrying the musket at reenactments. I would like to see if I can make a musician out of myself. I've never heard of the National Civil War Music School. I may have to check it out next year.
