Need To Find a Unit

Hi Everyone, I'm new to this forum and Columbus, OH. I'm an Army officer that had to suspend reenacting indefinitley because of the current actual war and training tempo.

I'm looking for a Confederate unit to fall-in with at Sharpsburg 14-16 Sep. I'm not a "stich counter" but do spend the weekend pretty much living out of everything I can carry. I have both a defarbed 1842 musket (I used to reenact 10th VA - 1862 out in California), and a defarbed 1853 Enfield, plus some basic uniforms so I can alter my impression.

I'd be happy to talk to anyone within a 8 hour driver of Columbus, OH. Perhaps I could find a unit to fall-in with for some other events before September???

Well, we're not going to Sharpsburg, but the 1st Tennessee has a number of members in Columbus. Most of our events are between Columbus and the west-Ohio border. We're doing Sharon Woods this weekend. June 2 we'll be doing an event in Grove City, and on June 23 there's one in Reynoldsburg that we'll be at. Feel free to look us up!
