Default AARs for Neshaminy and McDowell, and a plug for "Common Ground"...

AARs posted here: http://www.thecommonground.proboards...ventdiscussion, FWIW. I'm working on trimming them down to where they'll fit here as well, but it takes time.

"Common Ground" provides a neat little forum anyway -- perhaps not a "forum of record" like this one or the AC, but a quiet place off the beaten track that rewards a visit now and then. Sort of the flip side of the OTB...

    Cool

I resemble that remark! We have soem interesting stuff over on the Common Ground now and again, I'd say most recently, the 1860's shopping thread, gleaned a whole new wealth of info for civilians. Really, they all were civilians before they were soldiers and not all of the folks who lived during the time were soldiers....

And, our maximum characters is well, way more than other places.

Tá cuid de na moderators ar an bhfóram AC cheapann a fhios acu níos mó agus go bhfuil with ná gach duine eile. Buille faoi thuairim a, níl folks amuigh ansin a dhéanamh ar bhealach níos mó taighde ansin beidh siad a dhéanamh riamh. Ní Dhá rud a cheadaítear ar an bhfóram AC; tuiscint coiteann agus eolas coiteann.

Yes, y'all have a more powerful software package on Common Ground. I always enjoy the image discussions.

We are running so much volume here, I'd be afraid to upgrade ours, for fear the bandwidth useage would mean we could not pay the bills. Still, I do have to break up posts on occassion, and our recently increased hacker security is giving some users fits.

And Eli, one of the mods over there is Grumpy.

And another mod is a really bad example of all that's wrong with the Hobby!

    Pete,

Hey, Grumpy gets into some great arguments with himself.

All kidding aside, you can get some good information and good discussions on the Common Ground Forum. As the name suggests, we take the position that reenactors have more in common, then they have differences. We expect people, no matter how they reenact, or what events they attend, to play nice with each other. It works pretty well.
