Only a few weeks to go lads!

The scenarios are shaping up to be some of the most interesting I have done, and we have the ground to do them on.

Check out www.rearrank.com and register today!

I look forward to seeing you all there!

Don't tell people you do things "exactly like they did" while standing in front of a wall tent you share with your wife with the four poster bed, cooler, camp stove, and heater etc. Be honest with yourself and the people you are talking to.--Robert Collett, 2010

    Default Union Artillery commander

Do you happen to know who the Federal Artillery commander is for the event? I emailed the website but recieved no reply. Any info you can provide will be helpful. We are brininging a gun crew from Reynolds' Battery and my Lt was asking. Also, rumors are that this will be a campaigner event, which you don't get from the website so if you have insights on that as well it will be helpful. Thanks!

Numbers like 1,000 with another month to go sound great to me. I'm coming up from Texas to take part in this one with both my sons - one of whom lives in Washington DC and rarely gets to join us in the field.

    Phil,
Can you please get in touch with me at Jzangroniz@comcast.net in connection with this program?
I will be there, photographing it for the Civil War News, and would dearly love to meet and chat with you and your son about the program.
    Thanks in advance.

    Ave,

The event is not a "campaign" event, but rather a "progressive" event. A good many of the participants are campaigners, however it is a static event, and there is garrison camping permitted.

We also have a "mixed" camp for those who wish to camp military and civilian in the same camp, while the majority of participants either stay in the military only camp, or the civilian area, depending on impression.

However do read over the rules and regulations carefully, as if they are written, we enforce them...we also focus on unit specific scenarios, and adhere to the scenario exactly, or as exactly as possible....often folks have to step out of the normal 40 yard bang fest mentality, but it works...we ask folks to focus on the Acting part of reenacting....

Many folks have called these, well, "fusion events" where the authenticity is higher than seen at normal events, the battles are spot on, but we still have garrison camping.

I personally am not sure exactly what to call this style event, so I call it a Civil War Reenactment.

    Hope this helps,
