Default Gettysburg Resident Looking for Local Union Regiment

I was in the hobby for about 9 years, sold everything off, and now looking to get back in on a limited basis. Looking for a Union infantry unit in the Gettysburg/central PA area.
    Want family oriented unit.

    'morning,

Check out the Keystone Reg't (www.keysoneregiment.com). We're based in central PA and are family friendly. We also have loaner gear, so you wouldn't have to purchase everything just to get started. We do more Berdan's though than straight infantry.

    Default Just a suggestion

If you are looking for a family oriented unit in that area that does regular union infantry, I would recommend you check out the website of The 71st Pa.

They are a great bunch of people and a fine unit.

    Default Unit in Gettysburg

The 138th PA are a nice, family-friendly unit based in and around Gettysburg, PA. They do lots of local events, and also travel to other events. I'm not a member, but have known and worked with them for years, and they're a good bunch of people. They'll be at the Carroll County Farm Museum event the first weekend in May. You and your family should stop out and say hi. Or, you can PM me and I can give you some phone numbers of some members. Great bunch of people.

They have a website at http://www.138thpa.com

    Respectfully,
    Shaun
