Union outfit in southern California?

Hi, I'm just putting together my kit and would like to join up with a Union infantry group in southern California.

I'm a civilian reenactor, so I'm not much help; but I do know that there are a number of Union outfits here in So. Cal. The problem is there's no way to find them on the internet. The best thing to do is just go to the next event--for example, the Fort Tejon event on May 19th-20th--and talk to people there. In general, I found it was easy to find military units to join, and they were happy to have new members.

The Long Beach event in July will be big. There are probably more events farther south.
