The 150th Anniversary Battle of Vicksburg/Raymond registration is open at this time. There is a wealth of information on the official website prepared by the Friends of Raymond as well as a couple of facebook pages to support it as well.

The website address is www.friendsofraymond.org.

There is an overnight bivouac, like we did at Shiloh, being worked on for Saturday night. The Battle of Raymond will happen Saturday morning at 10. The Battle of Champion Hill will happen Saturday afternoon at 3 and the Battle of Vicksburg, specifically the 2nd Texas Lunette will happen Sunday at 2. All times can be confirmed on the FOR website in case I have misquoted.

The scenarios have been laid out and are historically accurate. There are a limited number of artillery pieces being allowed based on the historical accuracy and the slots have been filled already. Any artilleryman whose piece is not in attendance is welcome to break out the long arm and the leathers to join us as infantry if you so chose.

Civilians will inhabit the "caves" that were reconstructed on site.

The civilian town of "Raymond" will be in full swing and will greet the Confederate column as it passes through on the way to battle.....looking forward to a chicken leg myself!

There will be Confederate soldiers manning the recreated 2nd Texas Lunette over the course of the weekend.

The Blue Gray Alliance in cooperation with the Friends of Raymond is looking forward to a good event. We appreciate your consideration on this one.
