As a part of the Trans-Mississippi Medical Corps, an Arkansas District is now forming. This will serve in support of Arkansas Confederate messes and units in attendence at reenactments. However, activities will not be limited to reenactments and a primary purpose will be for historical education in several settings. As a new unit, we will try to implement historically correct standards with the understanding that few have the means to attain a high standard immediately. Although I am a newb and spearheading this effort, I am not acting on my own and am looking for experienced as well as new Civil War reenactors to assist us in creating this Medical Corp to be a genuine asset to the preservation and education of history.
