I wanted to post these for folks to view on the forum as well. I have been receiving many emails asking for them, so I thought I would post them.

Rules & Regulations
1. No illegal drugs. THIS IS A ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY.
2. No excessive drinking will be permitted.
3. Military: All commanders will be held liable for the actions of their troops, both on and off the field.
4. Civilians: There will be a civilian coordinator on site, and all are encouraged to work together to improve their experience.
5. ALL participants must be in period dress from 7 a.m. Saturday through Sunday after the battle. Anyone not attired in period dress will be asked to leave the period camps.
6. No modern items are to be open to public view, camps will be patrolled by the provost to insure maximum authenticity at all times.
7. No cars will be allowed in camp after 11 p.m. Friday until after the battle on Sunday. No participants are allowed to break camp prior to the Sunday battle.
8. No dead animal parts on uniform or weapons. This means plumes, feathers, animal tales or other such ornamentation, unless prior documentation is provided to the event committee.
9. Any participant not following the scripted plans for the battle will be asked to leave.
10. No Zouave muskets, Kentucky Rifles, Shotguns, Hawken Rifles, or any other weapon not of the 1861 timeframe will be allowed without prior approval and documentation.
11. NO modern glasses, shoes, watches or any other clothing item will be allowed. This is a zero tolerance policy.
12. All military impressions should be of the 1862 period, this means appropriately researched early war uniforms are highly encouraged.
13. Children in the camp must be dressed as per children of the 1860's, not as kids in uniforms playing war with cap guns...this will not be allowed.
14. If a woman desires to impersonate a male of the 1860's, she must not be identifiable as a woman, and if so will be asked not to participate, also as per the 1860's. This is a touchy subject and so we reason the best way to deal with it is as they did back in 1861. We are portraying what actually occurred then, not what is politically happening now.
15. No Corps Badges. If worn you will be asked to remove them. They did not have them in 1862.
16. Limited hat brass.
17. Cartridges will be limited to 65 grains for the 57 or 58 cal. weapons; and 80 grains for the 69-cal. weapons.
18. Only commissioned officers will be allowed to carry side arms, with the exception of mounted troops who will be allowed one pistol per person.
19. Only full-scale artillery allowed.
20. No unscripted hand-to-hand combat will be allowed.
21. All troops not following orders from the respective commanders will be asked to leave the event.
22. Each Army and civilian camp will be patrolled by event and command staff to insure maximum authenticity at all times. No modern food containers, coolers or beverage containers will be allowed out in public view. All companies and participants that require the above conveniences must keep them hidden at all times during public hours and are strongly encouraged to do so at other times. This is to increase the quality of the event for re-enactors and spectators alike. If a company violates this policy they will be subject to be removed from the event at the discretion of the staff.
23. No participants under the age of 16 will be allowed to carry weapons at any time, on or off the field.
24. All participants under the age of 16 must be functional musicians to be allowed on the field and no one under the age of 13 allowed on the field at all. This is for both authenticity and safety reasons.
25. Ramrods are not to be used at any time during the battle.
26. Those participants who portray barefooted soldiers are permitted to do so, however, the event is in no way responsible for injuries caused by this portrayal.
27. All walk-ons are to be prepared to galvanize, as the event coordinator is dedicated to correct force ratios.
28. Rank must be equal to the number of troops each officer fields.
29. Any special impression, including but not limited to: First Person Impressions (Lee, Grant, Lincoln), Vivandiers, Cavalry (dismounted), Artillery, Zouaves, Foreign Observers, Medical personnel, Females impersonating Male Soldiers, and other forms of "specialty" impressions (veteran reserve corps, Bucktails, Sharpshooters, Naval, Marines, etc.) MUST contact event staff before registering with said impression.
30. Any Rank over Colonel must be approved by the Overall Commanders prior to the event.
31. Any horse on site must have prior approval and be listed on your registration form.
