If you do decide to go the "do it yourself" route here is what has worked for me in the past..dont laugh now! but find a table leg ( preferably off the table hey all I can say is it worked for me *L ) or other handy wooden scrap (2 2x4 s?) that fits the inside heel area of the upended brogans next its also important to shop around for STEEL nails that have heads that correctly fit the hole area of the plates ( or else they'll wear off quickly ) hardest part is holding the plate steady for that first nail..but its not rocket science! a few good solid taps and yer done! also possible..a couple of pinched fingers and cursing! enjoy!

Can vouch that duct tape works.

I took my brand new brogans (got em for Christmas) down to our local shoe store tahts been in business for about 1`00 yrs the guy inside musta been around with T. Roosevelt-- anyway he spied my shoes and asked "what do yer brogans need?" He recognised them right away. Cost me 2 bucks and some nice conversation for installation.
