150th Maryland my Maryland Update- South Mountain/Antietam/Sharpsburg

Wanted to give you all a status report on the registration totals for Maryland, my Maryland.
Do date we have close to 900 registered....not too shabby! In fact ahead of the curve.
It is pretty evenly split, with CS troops about 40 ahead of US troops.
This is due I believe to the fact that CS registration is limted and by invitation only.
REMEMBER THERE ARE NO CONFEDERATE WALKONS AT ALL. And Federal Walkons will be based upon force ratios.
Satruday is the last day for the $20 registeration, so please have folks hop online at www.marylandmymaryland.org and register.
The fee goes up to $30 on the 1st of April.
The 3 CS brigades are all even, within 20 of each other in terms of registration, so that is working out well, but spur your boys to get in, because I will cut off CS registration when we hit the magic number of 600 men per brigade. Period.
So the late, well Chris will let me in tack will not work.
Get the boys registered, force ratios are critical.
Federals- time to catch up and pass the CS registration, so as to provide us with the Blue Avenging Hand of God to scare us out of our drawers!
We have completed all heavy equipment work on site. All agreements signed, all insurance and logistics in place. This weekend we will be seeding grass in the areas we cleared.
Next step is taking down modern fencing, and them up goes the period fencing- work day calls for help will go out prior to each work day.
A PERIOD CORRECT Cornfield is also being planting- no modern solid and dangerous row of corn to fight through, but rather a much more correct and SAFE one.
The Civilians are busy planning the town of " Keedysville" between the lines, and we allowing them to build "houses" there, however they must come down by the evening of the 10th of September.
Also keep in mind, if folks want to drive into camp to unload, they must be on site no later than 10pm Friday night. At 11pm we are closing the camps to all cars, and all cars WILL be out of camp, or they will be TOWED. A tow truck will be on site starting at 8pm Friday night.
Those arrivng after that can either lug in their stuff, or be shuttled in via horse wagons Saturday morning.
Registration hours are noon till 9pm Thursday, 9am till midnight Friday, and 6am till 8 am Saturday.
After that, sorry! We are all volunteers.
Don't forget about the A.P. Hill March Friday, details are on the web site. If you have never done so, I cannot think of a better time to do so than the 150th!
We have decided on 5, yes 5 actions.
The first is Fox's Gap- as a public battle at 1pm on Saturday.
Then there will be 2 battles at dusk on Saturday evening- at the same time, a sort of Civil War in 3D. These will be for participants only. One will be the Frost Town Road fight between Rhodes and the PA Reserve, and the other will be Crampton's Gap. These fights will occur on seperate portions of the property, at roughly the same time. So troops will hear fighting in the distance to create " depth"
That night those troops who wish to, can camp on opposite sides of the Cornfield to await the mornings action.
Sunday morning we will fight the Morning action in the Cornfield, once again for participants only, we will then stay in the field, and have the final fight- Up Comes Hill for the public at 1pm.

Remember ALL proceeds go to charity, evenly split between CMHL- who preserves South Mountain, and BHF- who helps will the adoption of special needs children.
