looking to join a confederate unit

Hello everyone my name is Robert, and I am looking to join a confederate unit. I am from southern West Virginia, about 1 mile from the Virginia border. I would love to join a confederate unit close by. I am new to reenacting, but I have loved Civil War history since I was about 7 years old. If anyone knows of any units near Bluefield WV or the surrounding areas that are looking for recruits, I would appreciate it. Thank you all.

There is a Civil War event in Hurricane WV on March 24--it looks to be a bit of a haul for you, but it'll probably be one of your best chances to find units close to you. A couple of us from the 1st Tennessee are going, but we're located more in west-central Ohio--probably way too far for you. If you show up to the event, just talk with some of the various Confederate units there--I'm sure they'll be more than happy to bring you in.
