RJ,

And some people like to do something a little different. I don't know of another reeinactment site quite like Camp Geiger anywhere on the East Coast. The event's worker bees spend many weekends improving both the Federal and Confederate trench lines and they get better every year. The event is geared to be both Campaigner and Tent Camper friendly, although there is no CHP adjunct as such. When you're in the trenches, everybody plays by the same rules.

Because of the length of those trench lines, the event maxes out at about 200 troops per side. So, I sort of doubt any big events will have to shut down because of a conflict with Camp Geiger. In fact, we are far more concerned that these events will draw away our regular attendees.

I'd bet the majority of guys who attend Camp Geiger will also be attending a number of the big 150th. events scheduled for this year, next year, and the year after that.
