Default Tired of Early War Events?

Getting tired of standing in long lines and banging away at the "other guys" in the middle of a big open field? If so, come to Camp Geiger, in Whitehall Township, on the weekend of June 8-10, 2012; where it's 1864 again. Spend a weekend living and fighting in authentic Civil War trenches. There will be trench improvments, sharp shooting, trench raids, time spent in the "pits", and perhaps a general attack, or two, over the weekend. If you don't want to live in the trenches, there will be camps behind the lines. For those who are interested, there will also be a tactial on Saturday evening, in the woods behind the trenches.

Some pictures from last years event. I went as a spectator, but this year hope to hook up with a Union unit that is going, as my home unit is not attending.

    Default Camp Geiger

We will have a Saturday night meal for all those who register early, music/ talks at the Lyceum and strolling musicians, and cannons firing during the battle and a night fire which is always a hit.

It's the 150th anniversary of the 1862 battles Bill......many of them on or near the actual battlefield......some people JUST don't get it.
