    Shawn,

Listing this smaller events is really a service to anyone who may be planning a big event. Now days, with the price of gas and the economy, in general; if there is a conflict, people may well chose to go to the local events. I know, if I were planning a big event these days, I wouldn't want to dump it on top of two, or three local events.

In a perfect world, there'd be 104 weekends every year, but I'd bet there would still be conflicts!

We moved the date for the tactical to the 2nd Weekend of April to deconflict with the Mega Chancellorsville.

The web site will be up in a week or so

    It is called

    "In Hooker's Rear"

    Default Camp Geiger location ?

Um, out of curiosity, is a zip code available for this? The only Whitehall PA that Mapquest shows is SW PA, near Pittsburgh.

    Thanks,
    Calum

    Pards,
Thank you Chris. That said, I note no information, other than the dates, and it is being put on by the Spotsavania commerce committee for the so-called mega Chancellorsville event. To me that says volumes.

"In Hooker's Rear", lol, better than "Up Hooker's Rear".

It's a suburb of Allentown, just N/NW of the city proper. Try 18052.

    Calum,
    Here is the website;
    http://campgeiger.org/

I can attest this is an excellent event with great mix of streamers to sleeping in the trenches.

Looks like some of us will be busy in April and May. The Anders' tactical April 12-14, Neshaminy April 19-21, Chancellorsville May 3-5, and Camp Geiger May 17-19. Four event in six weeks. I better start working on the Kitchen Passes now!

Waterloo Village in Northwest NJ will be hosting a large scale Civil War Living History and skirmish weekend on September 13-15,
2013. Overall Union Commander is Col Frank Ruiz of the Union Volunteers and Confederate Commander is Col Ray Pickett. This will be the first reenactment held in the 1840's canal town since 1996.

    Awful name, Chris. Just awful.

"Lee and Stonewall Do Hooker In The Woods" would even be less repugnant than "In Hooker's Rear".

    Seriously, your kidding, right?
