    Default Cavalry Picket ropes

Hey Guys, I recently acquired a large spool of hemp or sisal (not sure which it is right now) 3/4 and 7/8 rope. I am going to be cutting it into 50 or 100 foot pickets lines for the rest of you cavalry types. I am not sure exactly what the price would be but I am just looking to see what interest there is in them.

    Dan,
3/4 hemp line makes a real good lead line also. If you do have hemp and not sisal I would be interested in some.

    If it's hemp, I'm interested.

Ditto...I'd take a hemp one or two in a heartbeat.

I have found out what I have is Manila rope, which is also a period rope. I am thinking $30 plus actual shipping for a 50 foot length. If you are interested please contact me at dan.chmelar@gmail.com

    Thanks

All of the 3/4 rope has been sold. I still have some of the 7/8" x 50' left. Asking $35 plus actual shipping. Here are some images of the rope.

Price dropped to $25 plus $15 for shipping. I mostly just want to get rid of the rest of the stuff. I have 250 feet left. If anyone wants lengths different then fifty feet just let me know, I'll cut it a different length.

I just received my 7/8" rope. It is much more supple than I expected and will be easy to tie. Even though I'm not a horse person, I think it will be outstanding as a picket rope.
