    Two observations - first, this ordinance only covers city-owned flagpoles. There is no restriction on flying on private property. Second, if you have a weak stomach, I suggest you avoid the comments section below the article. It's pretty ugly, like most anonymous forums.

    There used to be a First national flag flying on a pole outside of a house on my way to work, now it and the pole are gone. This is in Virginia Beach. I dont for the life of me understand the problem.
