Default British Service Bugle, Maker Marked

This is the pattern bugle first issued in the 1850s and reportedly some were imported for Civil War use. Not the typical souvenir thing, this is a real heavy duty issue piece, with broad arrow stamp and maker name.

Nice stamp on the front is to Boosey & Hawkes Ltd. Makers London.

Previous owner had soldered a little brass flange to the side and fastened the bugle to his wall for display. This should pop right off, but we’ll leave it in place in case you want to mount on the wall.
