    Question Forms & Markings

I have two questions that I would like to present.

First, where can I get Union medical forms to take sick call and do reports? I have checked Sullivan Press and they do not have anything for Civil War.

Second, while on the field I'll be carrying a white haversack loaded up with bandages, some medicine tins and a stethescope. My question is, wouold the haversack have any markings on it?

    Thanks,

First, check out the U.S.A regulations of '61 and '63. If you do it through google books they are easier to reproduce. As far as the haversack, white ones were not covered in the regs so it could be individual choice. Under the theory, sometimes less is more, an unmarked haversack may be more versatile.

Send me an e-mail to drbucher@hotmail.com & I will forward you the forms we use. They are from the regulations & from copied from originals in the Illinois Archives used under Gen. Grant & Gen. Sherman.
