Pittsville, IL -- June 2007?

Our Arkansas company has it on the tentative 2007 to go to Pittsville, IL, for an event in June next year. It's about a 250 mile drive for us.

I've never heard of this Pittsville event. Can anyone tell me about it?

I was mistaken, it is Pittsfield.

I caught my error earlier today, and once I did the correct search on the Internet I found some information about it. Is the reenactment part of some occasion called Lincoln Days?

I'm with the 7th Arkansas/79th New York Highlanders (we're about 60/40 in our Confederate/Union portrayals), fielding maybe 20 rifles on a good day. Don't know how many might make the six- or seven-hour drive to Pittsfield. I'm planning to.

What can you tell me about the event?

I hate to say it since it is about 60 miles but we do not go. It is usually up against our Jacksonville, Il event, about a week apart. We are one of the host units and do everything we can to make it a success. Our people are bad about doing events too close together. If you wish I will do a little leg work and see how it has been doing.
