    Default Zouave Cescent pin

    Good afternoon,
I know this was on the forum somewhere before and I can't seem to find it. There is a picture of 2 zouaves one injured, and the other helping him. The injured 1 in a sling is wearing a zouave "crescent pin". I just came to the realization that this may be in fact a vent pick! http://www.mytreasurespot.com/main/r...,383196,383315 It seems to have the chain attached to it as do the orig. (can't find my pic @ the moment)I did find a replica, different chain though. http://cgi.ebay.com/Zouave-Badge-ven...item3a64defe43

    Any ideas??

Hopefully I'll get those orig. up up here shortly.

    Best regards,
    Zak

    Zak,
yes, they are the zouave vent picks, as worn in the Crimea by the French Zouaves. A few of us wear them, after seeing the 114th PA wearing a few.
