Join us for an 1860s Victorian ball in the Charleston, SC area this coming April as part of the Fort Sumter sesquicentennial events. Following are the pertinent details regarding the once-in-a-lifetime Fort Sumter Soiree. This is the ONLY formal dance/ball being held in conjunction with Fort Sumter sesquicentennial events. Don't miss this historic occasion!

No dance experience is required. All dances will be taught onsite and called throughout. Beginners are welcome.


What: Fort Sumter Soiree
When: Saturday, April 16, 2011
Location: The USS Yorktown (yes, on the ship, on the hanger bay) at Patriots Point, Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina (Mt. Pleasant is across the river from Charleston.)
Time: 6:30-10:30
Band: Unreconstructed
Callers: Heather & Raquelle Sheen of Timeless Dance
Attire: Period formal or modest modern formal (all uniforms welcome)
Menu: Light refreshments
Cost: $40 per person. Pre-registration is required.
