    Thank you for the information.
Now... when/where is the McClure Bean Festival?
You probably can't tell from just looking at me, but... I love beans!

As mentioned last year when this topic came up, lets keep the announcements and discussions germane to the Civil War and reenactment portion.

Thanks Ross! As we all know this conversation went down the crapper last year. Julio if your seriously interested in info please see www.keystoneguards.org. Read the McClure Bean Soup webpage. My family member Private Andrew Wagner, 184th PVI Co. I was among the founding members of the festival. Ever since then a male member of my family has been a committee member including myself. Unforunatley like most festivals it has gone by the wayside from its original intent which was to be a reunion amongst soldiers & their families. In 1891 the public was invited and the festival was moved to its current location. Ever since then it has become a commercialized mess and in recent years also became a fair. There are a few of us who promote the real reason for the festival other than an excuse to eat cotton candy and ride a ferris wheel. If you have additional questions please send me a PM.

Mods: I would suggest locking this one down as we all know it will go by the wayside quick, fast, and in a hurry.
