Default Wash Dress in a small size for sale

Wash Dress in a small size for sale

This wash dress is made of a nice cotton plaid in turquoise, medium blue and pale harvest yellow. Ten period buttons at the bodice, with hand worked buttonholes, and a hook and eye closure at the waist.

At present, there is a white china replacement button at the neck. If you wish, the buttons at the cuffs could be changed out and the cuff buttons used to make a full matching set on the bodice.

Made by Kara Bartels of Corner Clothiers, the dress measures 23 inches at the waist and 36 at the bust, at the underarms. The bodice is lined, and the dress has a 10 inch guard at the hem. Fine self cording at the armsceye, waist and neck, and a true three piece back bodice completes the look for small framed woman with a lot of hard work to do. Add a white kerchief, or plain collar and cuffs and your look is complete

There is a small burn hole on one sleeve. It has functional cuffs that will roll up easily for laundry or other hard work.

This is another dress that would easily meet standards for Struggles of Secession, or be appropriate for any other working impression.

Please be realistic about your own measurements. Dress is not returnable.

    Joni,

    I fudged.

Folks tend to be unrealistic about their corseted measurements--my corseted waist is LARGER than my natural waist.

This dress is 25 inches if the waist falls in the right place on the person. Its just very fitted, not a lot of tug room, and no way to alter it.

By the way, your bargain blankies are clean. I'm casting about for patch material for the moth holes. Its truely amazing how something that looks pretty good when bought through the mail can prove to be THAT filthy when it hits the boiling pot. I'm glad we undertook to clean them--you and your Daddy didn't need to be sleeping under those at Westville without it.
