Default Blue and Yellow cavalry chevrons?

    Folks,

I got a chance to see a local CW relic collection. The widow of the collector knew quite a bit but didn't know about the blue chevons (looked unissued) with yellow "symbols" over the stripes. These looked like farrier or other specialist symbols. The collector had labeled them as "cavalry."

    Any information?

    Thanks and...
    Respects, Scott B. Lesch
