Wondering if they carried bayonets and what musket they used? Both sides.

Greatly depends upon the unit. The best way to find out is to look through state or national archives for what they were issued for a given time. One unit that I've researched extensively is the 75th Ohio Infantry, who were mounted during service in Florida in 1864. Since they were a "normal" infantry regiment during service with the 11th corps for much of the war, later transferred to the 10th corps, they continued to wear normal infantry accoutrements to include bayonets and Enfield rifle muskets issued from the state of Ohio and did their fighting dismounted. Another unit such as Wilder's Lightning Brigade in 1863 mostly did not have bayonets, since their arms (Spensers) were privately procured, and they were expensive enough without the added expense of bayonets. Many of the their units did receive bayonets after Chickamauga as the issuing records bare out. As I said, you'll find accounts for both with or without, particularly on the Federal side. You may have a tougher time researching the CS side, as they had little mounted infantry, tending to go the way of the more traditional dragoon or cavalry.
