Default Question on the Armaments and Equipage of a Particular Unit

I apolgize for bothering the general public again with my quest for knowledge, but I have a question I cannot seem to find the answer to.

I am researching a unit called the 151st PVI. My ancestor, Lt. Col. G. F. McFarland was the unit commander at Gettysburg. I've been attempting to find what sort of weapons and accoutrements they would've been issued, but to no avail. I've got most of the basic stuff down, as in trousers, shoes, etc., but I can't find anything on what sort of musket was carried, whether frock coats or sack coats were issued, or details such as those.

The unit was mustered in during November of '62. Was there a specific pattern for accoutrements issued to Federal (or at least Pennsylvania) troops at that time? Any help is appreciated, no help will be reluctantly accepted, though.

    Thanks,

    Hallo!

"Was there a specific pattern for accoutrements issued to Federal (or at least Pennsylvania) troops at that time?"

    Short answer: no.

Ordnance returns and ammunition requests for 1863-1864 in Record Groups 94, 109, and 156 in NARA- indicate that the 151st PA was Enfield RM armed at the period in time.

I do not portray a Civil War soldier, I merely interpret one.

I figured they were armed with Enfields. Thanks for clearing that up, Curt. Much appreciated.
