Default Reb forage cap and cap box; prewar haversack; sundries F/S

Prices include shipping by USPS Parcel Post, unless Priortiy is only a few pennies more which is not unusual.

Please contact directly by personal email to tscoufalos1@juno.com if interested.

Paypal or PMO are requested no later than 7 days after "laying claim" or the item will go up for sale again.

    (1) Jean cloth Confederate forage cap, size 7-1/2, very good condition. Not a top-tier repro, but better than average for sutler row. $29 shipped.

    (2) Crude attempt at handmaking a Confederate cap pouch with unformed cup; similar to one found in EOG-C. I don't know if I used it or not; maybe once $12.00 shipped

    (3) Prewar scalloped flap haversack with pewter coin buttons. I made this from a pattern I found on an 1812 reenactors' website. Made of cotton drill; mostly machine sewn with hand buttonholes. Used once or twice. $18.00 shipped

    (4) Lot of two shirts: briefly, the first made this awhile back approximating the Federal issue variety; size is 46-48. THE GOOD- I had made a handful of shirts by this time and was getting to get fairly good with the machine, so it looks half decent. An underrepresented pattern of shirt that usually costs an arm and a leg...not this time, owing to: THE BAD- It is almost entirely machine sewn except for the buttonholes and collar. I wanted to make it of gray domet, but a light jean was the closest I could conveniently get at the time. The cuffs are not inward-faced as I had not yet figured that trick out, so to speak. THE UGLY- check out the bottom seams. I must have been slacking; they look bad and I didn't fully roll-hem it; only turned it over once. The second blue shirt started out well; I was going to fully hand top stitch it when I discovered that I somehow made the body entirely too short..."midriff length"...so I plumb gave up and crudely serged an "extension" on the bottom. I'll just throw it in for free. $25.00 shipped

    (5) Cotton bottom shirt / under shirt of same size; I made this from an old tablecloth or choir robe or something. Antique china button. $10.00 shipped

    (6) Painted cloth housewife, handsewn, with a handful of needles, china buttons and paperback buttons. $10.00 shipped

    (7) The ever-popular poke bag full of poke bags. All handsewn; total of 10. $10.00 shipped

(eight) Sutler row saber bayonet frog. $8.00 shipped

    http://www.flickr.com/photos/2145285...n/photostream/

    (9) Federal mid-to-late war bridle leather waistbelt with brass keeper, total length 44". Excellent condition; purchased from Frank Burgess & Co. years ago. No buckle; would work with both puppy paw and arrow back plates. $15.00 shipped

    (10) Some kind of frog for a bayonet or knife I was trying to make. Maybe someone could use it; $5.00 shipped

    Default Forgot to list...

...not the most exciting thing in the world, but I have an xtra pair of heel plates that someone can snap up for $5 shipped if they want.

Items in hold pending payment thus far:

    poke bags for one individual;

lot of two shirts, bottom shirt, waistbelt, and cap box for another.

If you are interested in more than one thing I'll knock the total down; those things remaining include: the prewar haversack, jean forage cap, housewife, heel plates, and both frogs.

    Thanks,

    Tom

    Default More stuff...

I have an extra Springfield rifled musket ramrod that I dug up in the archives that is in great condition with a little rust inside the tulip. It is threaded for a wiper and has the swell in the ramrod to fit snug in the pipes. I think someone was selling an A/S 1861 on here recently that was missing a rod; I wish I would've thought of this then! $17.00 shipping included

I'm dropping that jean forage cap down to $18 just 'cause I'm ashamed to have my asking price anywhere close to one of Jason Willis' great caps. Oy.
