Default looking for an event to attend in 2010

    To whom it may concern,
Our reenactment unit is looking to come South for our (big event) of the year. We are a progressive unit, and are looking for a quality event for our unit to attend that is worth our drive from Wisconsin. If you have any ideas please feel free to reply. Thank you.

    Sincerely,

It really depends what you're looking for (and what you call "south," since a lot of folks are coming north for it too), but I'd recommend In the Van.

The time for compromises now passed, and the South is determined to maintain her position, and make all who oppose her smell southern powder and feel Southern steel !

    Default How About A little

more info so the help can be realistic.

What size event are you looking for? Looking to do campaign style or company street style camping? Looking to actually march and how far? What IS your impression? etc. etc. etc.

Otherwise any suggestions are just so much shootting in the dark

Backwaters, 1865 - March 12-14, 2010 (max effort) Land Between the Lakes, Tennessee - Following Sherman’s 1864 Christmas Gift of Savannah, his command began to push North through the Carolinas. To counter this movement, Gen Joseph E. Johnston came out of retirement to take command of the Army of Tennessee. As the AOT maneuvered to mass forces, there were numerous small engagements in the backwaters of North Carolina. This event replicates these engagements in March of 1865.
