Default Like New 1861 Miroku Springfield

    Gents,

Getting out of the hobby and selling my minty Miroku. Took a few years to find one in this nice a condition. It's imported by Navy Arms, and is probably 20 years old, but looks new and unused inside and out. I've never shot it; bought it on gunbroker.com earlier this year.

It has a partial defarb begun, using a 6" bastard cut metal file on the top of the breach. I didn't get very far, though, and the "Navy Arms..." is still visible. I'll throw in the file.

Also up for grabs is a brand new high quality Italian spring steel bayonet. It will need a bit of fitting however, to fit the muzzle completely.

    Musket: $650 + shipping

    Bayonet: $120 + shipping

    or Both for $700 +shipping

    Photos up later today...

    Thanks,
    Chris

Holding off on selling it until a safety check can be made. Moderators, please remove the thread.

    Chris,

This is a "knee jerk" reaction to the safety issues I PM you about. It is not necessary.
Please don't do this until you and I have a chance to check this out a "little" bit more.
Moderators, please check out the PM's Chris and I have had before you consider deleting this. Safety is an issue but may not be with this particular firearm. We need time to see if it might be.
    Thank you,

We as moderators do not have the ability to see others PM's, nor do we ever want to. We'll leave this open unless the original poster tells us through this thread or by PM that he wants it closed
