    Default Mercury Sutler

Hey all, I was looking for a good mainstream sutler to purchase a mounted overcoat and came across The Mercury sutler. I called them and they said they use 21oz wool and can add A wool lining to the coat. Anyone ever deal with them?

    Thanks all,

I agree. They've always been there when I needed them.

IMHO if you lined em up 1-10 as far as on line and event type sutlers out there id put Mercury in the top three for sure, the uniforms made in Texas by their firm are really better than most , They use a nice jean for there higher end Confederate pieces and the fit is very well done, the Federal items are of a very good quality wool and correctly detailed, orders are filled usually the day ordered and if they have to make it one off they're quick about filling the order. Now they do carry import items but will tell you up front if it is , go U.S. made with them and you will be satisfied. My 2 cents Paul Lopes

I would say it's hard to beat them. Lot of us up here in the MN, ND, and SD region are very happy with their service and quality. I was really impressed with the helpfulness of the gentleman I spoke with on the phone while placing and order and the delivery time was most impressive.

I had them make a pair of pants for my nephew, needed them in a week and they got them to me. Their quality is pretty good, one leg seam did rip out but I don't think I can fault them for it . Still, I would recommend them to you.

Hey all, thanks for all the feedback, I decided to order from them, they use 21 oz. skyblue woolrich wool which is correct. I have heard bad things about greatcoats offered from blockade runner, but have bought other things from them and have been completely satisfied.
