Gents,
I am posting this not to headhunt from any credible organizations. However, there are still many unaffiliated Infantry units in the hobby that are looking for a good home for the 150th cycle of events. We do not want anyone elses' political exiles, poseurs, or separatists. We want committed units who share the same philosophy. Companies, individuals, or messes.

Our organization contains some of the oldest units in the hobby. We are a mainstream organization with serious progressive leanings. We are considered by some to be quite an enigma in the hobby. We have formed a large part of the federal core for many progressive events. Our membership fielded three foraging parties for the "Bummers" event this past weekend. If there is a C/P/H event held, at least some of our members will be there.

We do not "campaign" at every event. Rather, our camping impression as well as physical is dictated by the scenario. If the army was bivouacked in company streets, so shall we. Blanket rolls, slouch over forage cap, ditto.

There are four main goals that drive our philosophy:
1) We maintain a military-only camp. (Civilians are welcome, but camp separately)

2) We adopt a universal impression for each event we attend. (Normally we collectively portray a member unit. We always field as somebody, not a conglomerate of impressions.)

3) We attempt to adhere to a Civil War daily routine. (And we participate, not hide in the woods)

4) We stress the learning and teaching of soldier craft and DRILL.

Do all our members have museum quality impressions? No, but we are working toward that goal, each according to his own ability.
Do we sit around and talk about gear all day? No, we soldier.
Do we hang out and pose in sutler row all weekend? We don't have time.

Units we've brought to life:
The Irish Briagde hitting the Wheatfield at AHT.
69th NYSM at 145th First Manassas
56th PA at Brawner's Farm
14th NJ at Monocacy
43rd NY at Cedar Creek
25th Ohio at McDowell
63rd PA at Second Manassas
8th Conn. at Antietam
3rd NJ at Spottsylvania

Many, many more!

We have a BLAST!

If anyone is interested, they may e-mail me at home.
