Ok, ok. . . so I've gained a few lbs. I've tried to suck it in and keep wearing these for the past 2 years, but it started looking like jeancloth spandex, so I finally went out and bought new trousers.
These are well-broken in brown Confederate jeancloth trousers that fit 30-32 waist and are approximately 32 length. I've had these for 12 years, but have taken good care. There is only one small patch hand-stitched on the side, just above the mule-ear pocket. Other than that, the knees, seat, and crotch are in good condition with no holes or major wearing. The bottoms of the legs are left natural and frayed. There is some handstitching there to fix an old seam where I let out a hem years ago. The buttons are mismatched and there is only one button per side on the front and back waist for single-button suspenders.
I'm not sure who the maker was, but it wasn't just some mass-produced product. I recall buying them at Resaca, GA from a sutler that had a foot-pumped period sewing machine in his tent and he would tailor and fit them to you there on the spot.
I'm asking $50 for these. If you'd like more pictures, just let me know.
Thanks.
