This is a three band Rifle Musket I made up from a "new" Euroarms '61 Springfield.
This is NOT a Remington "Zouave" Rifle!
It is in all respect a standard M-1861 Springfield Rifle Musket as was made under contract by Remington.
This firearm features an original lock marked forward of the hammer, Remington's / Ilion, N. Y. in two lines and in this case a date of 1863 to the rear of the hammer. Lock and "new made" hammer are finished in the blue-gray as are all the small parts like screws band spring and sights. All other metal parts are finished Armory Bright.
Stock has been striper and completely re worked to meet with the contours of the original stocks and refinished. $1,250.00 plus ship and insure.
