Chris,
Is the "Infantry Uniform Jacket" similar to what is referred to as an untrimmed "roundabout"?
Thanks,

Sorry for not getting back to your question sooner. The Infantry Uniform Jacket is the official jacket of the US Infantry in the 1860s. According to QM records this was the most widely issued jacket of the war for the Northern armies.
It had an 11 button front, 2 button functional cuff, it had a low collar with a hook and eye closure. It was quilted in the front panels with one inside pocket. All the facing pieces, quilting, topstitching, buttonholes and all over visible stitching is done by hand. These were produced by the Schuylkill Arsenal.
It can be seen in photographs in both the eastern and western theaters and was issued throughout the war.
I've added a few more to my In Stock page and if you click on the link you'll see a photograph of the jacket: http://www.cjdaley.com/instock.htm
