Default Looking for family unit in Maryland

Hello, I am new to the area, just moved here from California. I would like to find a family friendly unit, or at least one that allows females. If you could please assist me that would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

How about giving the Atlantic Guard Soldier's Aid Society a look-see: http://www.agsas.org/ or the Frederick Ladies Relief Society (sorry, will need to get you contact info). Where abouts in Maryland are you? There are many great units in Maryland. We were so central to where so many events happened that one can feel the history where ever one goes. It would help the military gents out if you knew if you wanted True Marylanders (Confederates) or Loyal Marylanders (Federals) for a military unit. Great guys on both sides. Welcome to this beautiful state!

Where in Maryland are you from. If you're from northern Maryland or Baltimore you can take a look at our unit. We have people from Philadelphia, Delaware. Rising Sun Maryland and Baltimore. We are very close (friendly) and very family oriented. If your interested take a look at our website and email Catherine Kelly. She's the civilian coordinator and can give you all the info you need. http://www.b10va.com/

Yes we'll be there with our Regiment, the FFR. I think we have about 10-15 people (maybe more) from the 10 Virginia coming out for Gettysburg this year.

    Hi Julie,

Our unit is the 1st Regiment Kentucky Volunteers, Co E, CSA and are members of Longstreet's Corps.

Although we aren't based in Maryland, we have members that living there and most of our events are in Virginia and always do Gettysburg as we are this year. We'd love for you and your family to come.

We allow female members, as long as the impression is good, we also allow them as soldiers. We currently have 2 that do alot with their impression. We are a family oriented unit, though we have single members as well.

If you want to look at civilian impressions, we have a large civilian following.

We have alot of fun and are serious about how we approach reenacting. You won't find a better and friendlier group I can promise you.

Please feel free to email me with questions or visit our website at:
