Several of us in my home unit are in the market for new haversack. We're looking for early war tarred Federal. We portray a Mass. unit (28th).

I just received a West Point Museum Haversack from The Haversack Depot, I am quite pleased with the extensive handwork and the overall quality, not a bad price either. But, apparenlty I got the last one so he would have to make you one.

Haversack Depot, like the name, is excellent. But there are many fine vendors out there.
LD Haning's stuff is excellent. Try this:

'In the end, it's the history, stupid. If you can't document it, forget about it. And no amount of tomfoolery can explain away anything that makes history (and living historians) look stupid and wrong."
Messrs. Haning and Daley are both known for their quality work. In looking at their offering, my only reservation is the attachment method for the closing strap. My understanding is that using a rivet was a mid-late war practice, vs. the earlier practice of sewing.
I was pretty amazed to see a $32 haversack from Mr. Serio:

Scroll down to "Harrison Wiley."

Give Mr. Wayne Hutzell of Dirty Back Boys a call. He is right now making the exact bag you're looking for and was just asking me the other day if there is a market for such.
He will be at R-Day, set up at the Holiday Inn with WW&Co and several others.

Mike,
I did see that one, and it's on my short list.

Eric,
Thanks! That's the kind of info I was hoping to surface. I've left him a message.
