Possible delays in Membership posting privileges

Some of you new members may be wondering what is taking so long in getting your memberships approved for posting. The particular function is the responsibility of the Provost and only him. It appears at this time that the Provost may be having some computer problems as he has not logged into the forum since the 20th. Once he is able to log back in the forum, be assured one of his first priorities will be the processing of the new member applications. However, remember that for every one that is waiting for the approval of your posting privileges, there are probably 10 or 20 spambots also waiting. Therefore, please be patient and your membership will be processed and your posting privileges will be granted. Thank you for your interest in this forum and for your understanding.

Good news. The Provost's computer is back on-line and he can start processing your membership applications to grant posting privileges. However, please be patient as I expect it will take him several days at best to work through the backlog due to the large number of spambot applications that must be weeded out for every legitimate membership application.
