Default WTB or trade for: Lorenz rifle

I am looking for a nice Lorenz rifle in either 54 or 58 cal. Will buy or have a nice 1970's Navy Arms charleville or Military Heritage doglock musket I'd swap towards one. Send me a pm or email me direct if you see one for sale. shooter1835@cfl.rr.cm Jim Hensley

Loyalist Arms has been custom making the Lorenz rifle musket but at this time, because of back orders, has temporarily stopped receiving new orders. The link to the site is http://www.loyalistarms.freeservers....rearms-01.html. If you cannot find a used one to trade or swap for you may want to periodically check the link to see when they restart taking orders.

    Default Lorenz 1854 54 cal

Hi I saw you posting looking for a Lorenz and I do have one that I'm
    thinking about parting with. It's a 1854 54 cal. I spent 2+ years looking
for one, but it's such a nice gun that I don't want to take it on the field
for reenacting. I've seen to many stack's of rifle's fall over and I have
about 1700$ invested in mine, so I really don't use it. My Lorenz is about
the best that I've seen for sale. The most important feature of it is it has
about 90% of the original rifling in it. It has not been sanded, or
refinished. Everything is original including the flip up rear sight and
ramrod. I have the original nipple, but the threads are week, so I've been
using a aftermarket nipple. The only thing that it needs it the nipple
threads need to be redone. At some point someone heilicoiled the original
nipple threads and using the aftermarket nipple it's on the loose side. I
have shot the gun at the range and it is very accurate. I have two original
bayonets one very nice and one someone sanded on and didn't do a very good
job on. I also have a extra original main spring and a extra sear spring. A
friend of mine is interested in it, but money is a issue. I would consider a
partial trade for a 42, Springfield smooth bore, 55 Springfield, Berdan
sharps, or a Henry. Thank you for your time.

    Thumbs up I'm looking, too

Tim, if your Lorenz doesn't meet Jim's needs, please e-mail me at csbutton@hotmail.com...I am looking for a very good to fine Lorenz too.

Jim, I'll let you know if I come up with anything you might be interested in as well.

    Best regards,

    Gene Smiith
