I just want to echo what the others have said. This was a great event, the property was amazing, so much progress just since Hope's Campaign last year. Thanks to Chris, Court and all of the other...
Yeah Chris, no worries, I think Matt has your outfit beat hands down. You may have been wearing less but Matt's "cool down" attire had accessories!
Ill echo the others sentiments, I had a great time! The boys cooling off in the river, the sutler cart, passes for civilians, it was all great. I was happiest to see the battalions up at 530 and on...
Might as well throw Company C's hat into the ring! :) We are mostly Jersey boys though. The CVG is a great organization, come to our COI in Harpers Ferry and see for yourself.

Can't go wrong with Ben Tart, I have several from him. I also second Drew Gruber, I have a 1st national that he made early on and love it.
We all know what opinions are like...but I find the above comical actually
MJ, if you felt i was speaking to you, maybe the shoe fits. I dont care who you are. My post has nothing to do with you and everything to do with the cliques. Who you are, who I am, who anyone is...
This us v them crap is so old. I been doing this for 25 years and some new yahoo comes up every year to be the internet lightening rod. Stop ruining my hobby you tools. This hobby would be great were...

Just a bump, for all those looking to take part, last year we were encamped at the Bushong Farm. I am awaiting details on the camp but I expect much the same. So hopefully we will be well fed and...

Any federal campaigners that would like to join us should email me...

You should also check out the CVG. We have a large number of men out that way. We do both blue and grey. Have a look:

Harry,
Sean here, the officer you spoke to in the field during the lull in the Saturday morning fight at Hope's. Thanks again for coming out. Despite the weather I had a great time. Next year will...
Echo what the others have said, great time, great site. Too bad we had to get driven off by the weather, but the morning fight was worth the trip!
Sean
Weather.com is the worst thing to happen to the reenacting community since forums and e-mail! ;)
My philisophy... if I dont know I dont worry. I never check, just bring my shelter half and ground...
Having organized events myself I know what a hard decision this must have been for the event staff. The weather has been most uncooperative this season!
That being said...all you displaced folks...
Mine was a Rev War event, 1987 Fort Lee Historic Park in New Jersey. Wonderful view of NYC and the George Washington Bridge from the gun emplacements. Things look a tad different since George and the...
bump. Anyone that wants to try us out should contact me about Hope's Campaign.

This event will be a great one. Also a side note to the Jaunty Bunch...if your not fighting with us you'll get to see how it feels to be run down by the CVG! Look forward to taking part in this one....
Another plus, AHT didn't have any brawls breaking out due to scenario breaking and hot tempers. I believe this is all a result of communication discipline, and professionalism. All commanders and...
It goes beyond degrees of authenticity. AHT was by reenactors for reenactors and the profit generated went to preservation. GAC generated profits for key individuals off the backs of reenactors.
As an interesting aside...Percival T. Beacroft, the man who owns most of the Jefferson Davis papers as well as Rosemont (Davis' childhood home) has produced a 3 disc documentary about his whole life....
Company C, the color company of the Chesapeake Volunteer Guard is looking for some good recruits. We are a dual impression group of campaigners with members up and down the eastern seaboard but...
