Is it known yet who will be commanding the federal battalions?
After reading the article, I came to a few conclusions that have mostly been expressed already in this thread. The author seems to take offense at the idea of not being able to realistically show...
The federal company that I commanded fired well more rounds in the hour to hour and a half of the fights at the event than the units we portrayed did in 4-6 hours of combat during the actual battle....
On a note away from where the lockplate came from and its accuracy, wouldn't a lockplate have originally been stamped with the year it was produced? Might there have been plates dated 1858 in use...
Over the years, I've discovered that every event has problems. Most or all of the problems are solved before they are ever noticed by the average participant. I realized that firewood was a problem...
I'd love to know, also. I've been looking for a decent one, but the dimensions that I keeps seeing are awful. Any idea where they came up with 6 and 9 feet for the lengths on those things?
