Well, I rarely post, but here goes . . .
I have always disagreed with the idea that reenactors have been "used." To me, that implies that we are somehow tricked or forced into attending an event....

Hands down, they did the best job of getting people back to spectator parking that I've ever seen. I don't camp. I have camped in my 20 year reenacting stint, but not planning to do so anymore....
I've been to a lot of big events over the last 20 years. This was one of the better ones in terms of logistics. They moved that mass of spectators on Saturday at record speed. VFD members passing out...

Any chance of explaining to the other participants beforehand? Along the lines of "This is the problem and no good (and PC) way of fixing it." Perhaps get an agreement to ignore the one farbism?
