A group of work dresses

The next several posts on this thread will list some used, smaller sized ladies work dresses.

They are all well made, lightweight cotton, work dresses.
Each features construction details to be expected in a good period dress, including lined bodice, piping at waist and arms, coat sleeves, and pockets. These are used dresses, so expect to tighten some hooks and eyes as needed to fit your figure.

I have these in hand to sell and ship for a young lady who is experiencing some extreme financial difficulty, and is in the process of moving. I will not have them long, so do not hesitate if these interest you.

Please pay attention to measurements. These are used dresses and are not returnable.

This black cotton workdress is unusually lightweight---if you must be in mourning in the summertime, this dress is for you. It features a lined bodice, functional buttonholes, coat sleeves, piping at waist and arms, three piece back, and a narrow band collar. Extensive hand work includes fine gauging at the waist.

This dress is an excellent choice for a mid to late war Southern impression. The 'war time substitute' buttons are wonderful hand finished persimmon seed buttons--24 of them, plus two small black manufactured buttons.
