NATIONAL CIVIL WAR BALL
NOVEMBER 17, 2012
The National Civil War Ball, the official ball of Remembrance Day, sponsored by the Sons of Veterans Reserve, the Military Department of the National Organization of Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, 9:00-1:00AM, Saturday, November 17, 2012, at the Eisenhower Conference Center, 2634 Emmitsburg Rd., Route 15 South, Gettysburg, Pa.
The proceeds from the ball are donated to the Gettysburg National Military Park to use for preservation or repair of any items in the park they deem in need. In the last ten years, over $64,000 has been raised.
Members of Civil War hereditary groups, both Union and Confederate, and all military and civilian reenactors and all supporters of Civil War preservation are welcome to join in the festivities. Period dress is encouraged but not required.
Dancing will be led by the Victorian Dance Ensemble with music by the Philadelphia Brigade Band.
Ladies’ Cake Walk, Door Prizes, Snacks, Cash Bar and a Photographer on site to take your portrait to remember this special day. For pictures of last year’s event, visit www.CivilWarDance.org.
Tickets are $20 per person if purchased in advance, $25 at the door.
